Visionary AI Glasses

Visionary is a low-cost AI-powered smart-glasses system designed to help visually impaired students convert printed classroom text into audio. I built the device around camera input, CRNN-based text recognition, and text-to-speech output, then tested it across 12 document, lighting, and font scenarios. At roughly $50 per unit, the system is designed to be more accessible than many traditional alternatives, and I am now working toward implementing 30 devices across blind schools in California with support from the U.S. Army and NSTA.
